What to expect

The first session (assessment)

The initial (60 mins) session is an opportunity for us to build a shared understanding of what has brought you to therapy.

We will explore:

  • Your current concerns

  • Relevant personal history

  • Any previous experiences of therapy

  • What you hope to gain from therapy

You will be asked to complete some questionnaires before the session to support the assessment. You are very welcome to ask questions and get a sense of what it might be like to work together.

Importantly, this session helps us decide whether the therapy I offer feels like the right fit for you.

Ongoing sessions

If we decide to continue, we will agree a plan for ongoing therapy. This may be established in the first session or over the first few sessions, depending on your needs.

  • Sessions are usually weekly and held at the same time

  • Some flexibility with appointment times can be offered

  • Therapy length and pace are tailored to your needs and goals

  • We regularly review progress and adjust focus as needed

Online Therapy Setup

Sessions are conducted via Cliniko, a secure video platform. You will need a private space, a device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.
